Job Summary:
Be part of where the action happens. At NBC Sports, you’ll support the behind-the-scenes energy that fuels top talent in the sports industry. As a Sous Chef with FLIK Hospitality Group, this is a highly hands-on role focused on execution, team support, and keeping daily operations running smoothly across café and catering services.
 
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, supporting stations, and jumping in wherever needed to deliver a great experience.
 
This role includes evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day culinary execution across café service and catering.
  • Act as a hands-on support at stations, assisting the team during service to ensure quality and flow.
  • Help open and close operations, including end-of-day breakdown and cleaning standards.
  • Support the culinary team with prep, cooking, plating, and service as needed.
  • Assist with ordering, inventory, and basic administrative tasks.
  • Ensure kitchen and service areas are clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
  • Contribute to successful catering execution, from setup through breakdown.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef to maintain consistency, food quality, and team alignment.
  • Foster a supportive, team-first environment where everyone can succeed.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen with a focus on execution and team support.
  • Comfortable working across multiple stations and stepping in where needed.
  • Exposure to catering or high-volume service environments.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization.
  • Experience with basic administrative tasks like ordering or inventory support.
  • Familiarity with tools like Outlook and basic Microsoft Office.
  • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • A collaborative, flexible approach and willingness to work varied schedules.
