Job Summary
We are looking for dependable and motivated individuals to join our Event Set-Up Crew. This role is responsible for the setup and breakdown of events and functions, ensuring all spaces are prepared accurately and efficiently according to event specifications. Team members will also assist the Event Manager as needed. This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
Schedule:
- Primary hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Flexibility required: Occasional early morning, evening, based on event needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily event schedules and setup requests to determine requirements.
- Set up and break down event and meeting spaces, including but not limited to tables, chairs, stages, podiums, linens, centerpieces, and other décor items.
- Ensure all setups are completed safely, accurately, and on time according to event diagrams and instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces before, during, and after events.
- Assist with the care and storage of event equipment and décor.
- Support the Event Manager and team with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Availability for a standard weekday schedule with occasional shift adjustments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to handle and maintain specialty décor items with care.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks independently.
- Dependable, courteous, and professional demeanor.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work long hours as needed.
- Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.
- Comfortable with physical labor including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling event equipment.
